Delivery Costs

These costs can easily be the bug bear of all of us and if not kept under control can make a big hole in any companyís profits. We like to make our charges simple and clear so you can understand the costs in full when you place an order.

For UK Mainland addresses we donít charge a flat fee whatever the invoice value, we do not make many variations in cost with the weight of the consignment. Some exceptions to this arrangement exist for very heavy and bulky items, you will be informed if there are any extra charges when you place your order. There are no extra charges from us for deliveries to third parties or direct to your site.

Our carriage charge is on orders below £100.00 net to cover picking and packing as well as the carriage costs, this is a blanket £10.00 for standard next day delivery to mainland UK. ALL ORDERS OVER £100.00 NET WILL BE SENT TO YOU CARRIAGE FREE. We calculate that on the typical order this could easily add up to an extra 6-10% profit for you.

We are sorry we cannot extend this offer to our friends in the Highlands & Islands where we unfortunately have to charge carriage at cost, but we will always let you know the cost prior to despatch.

We would ask one small favour in return. Our carrier charges us for subsequent deliveries if the order cannot be signed for on the first delivery, so it helps us if we can agree a day to deliver your order before we send the goods out.

Delivery Issues

Delivery times are a guide only and cannot be guaranteed. We will use our best endeavours to ensure that dates and times for delivery are met but shall not be responsible for any direct or indirect losses which may arise from failure to despatch and/or deliver within the time stated.

Before signing a carrier delivery note it is the responsibility of the customer to check that the number of parcels on the note matches the number of parcels being delivered and that they are in good condition. Any discrepancy MUST be marked on the delivery note. (Please note to sign unchecked or unexamined is not acceptable.) Any damage or shortages must be reported by fax to us within 48 hours of the receipt of the goods.
